Simon Tam is an Australian musician known for being the lead singer of The Vines. He has also been involved in numerous collaborations, most notably with former members of Hunters & Collectors, Spiderbait, and most recently with The Sleepy Jackson. He formed The Vines in 1993 with Ross Smith, Craig Nicholls, and Josh Hope; they released their debut album Highly Evolved in 1998. After The Vines disbanded in 2001, Tam began a collaboration with Spiderbait, and then joined the supergroup Hunters & Collectors alongside David Hunter and Paul Mac
In 2003, he formed a new band called The Sleepy Jackson with former members of other bands; this group released three studio albums before disbanding in 2011.
